Fanvue's help centre points to the Blur Preview Images toggle, under Settings → Creator Settings → Profile, for turning blurred previews on or off. With blur on, a locked post appears blurred, which gives fans a teaser and nudges them to buy. With it off, the post is fully blacked out so nothing shows.

Fanvue's settings guide for that Profile page describes the same option, alongside Discoverability and Follow for Free. It says that if you choose not to blur, no preview images show on your profile at all. Either way, subscribers and followers can still read your post captions.

Fanvue's own articles lean toward showing a tease. Its settings guide says choosing to blur content can increase sales. Fanvue's August 2026 PPV guide makes a similar point about PPV media: it describes a blurred thumbnail or partial image as a reason for fans to unlock, and says content with zero preview converts far worse.

Previews can support your prices, too. For PPV media, Fanvue's PPV guide says a premium bundle can cost noticeably more than your average post when the preview makes its value clear.

Blacking posts out is still your call if you'd rather show nothing. Fanvue's 2025 articles describe it as a single toggle, so you can try one approach and switch later.

Because subscribers and followers can still read captions on locked posts, captions carry a lot of the tease. The PPV guide suggests building curiosity without giving everything away: set the mood rather than listing every detail, or try a short question that invites a fan to unlock. It also asks creators to describe only what's really included, since overpromising damages trust.

💜03. What is an expiring post on Fanvue?

An expiring post on Fanvue takes itself off your profile automatically once a length of time you pick has passed. As of June 2025, Fanvue's help centre allowed that time to be up to 30 days in the future.

Fanvue says creators often use expiring posts to create a sense of urgency, encouraging fans to subscribe or pay to unlock media before the post disappears. It adds that expiring posts can drive engagement and prompt quicker responses, and says Fanvue highly recommends the feature.

Fanvue's help centre points to these steps for setting one up:

Step 1: Start creating a post.

Step 2: Upload your media, then add a caption and, if you like, a collection.

Step 3: Click the clock button below the caption box.

Step 4: Pick the time in the future when the post should expire.

Step 5: Either schedule the post or upload it straight away.

That last step means a post can be both scheduled and set to expire. To schedule, choose Schedule when you make a new post and pick a date and time, or plan posts by day in Creator Tools → Queue.

The expiring-posts article doesn't say what happens to anything a fan bought once a post expires. That gap matters. Fanvue's PPV guide says fans keep PPV they bought after they unsubscribe, unless you delete it, and Fanvue says a fan loses access when a creator deletes content they paid for. So don't promise fans an answer either way, and ask Fanvue's support team first if it's important to you.

Fanvue creators keep content exclusive by pricing paid posts, choosing blurred or blacked-out previews, setting each post's audience and not posting paid content free elsewhere. A post's audience can be subscribers only, or followers and subscribers, and Fanvue's help centre put post prices between $3 and $500, as of June 2025.

The Follow for Free toggle plays a part too. Fanvue's settings guide says followers can see public content and get updates without subscribing, but they don't get your subscriber-only posts.

Keep what people pay for feeling special. Fanvue's PPV guide asks creators to avoid putting the same content up for free somewhere else, like social media or a free feed, so it stays exclusive to the fans who pay.

Use urgency honestly. An expiring post is a real deadline, because it takes itself off your profile when the time is up, so there's no need to invent one. Tell fans when a post will go, then let it go.

The two settings also work together. A blurred post gives fans a glimpse of what they could unlock, and an expiry time gives them a clear window to decide.
