Fanvue Privacy Settings Every Creator Should Know

Fanvue privacy settings give creators several ways to control who sees their page, and each one does a different job. None of them is a full lock on its own, so layering them is how you keep your page away from people you know.

Start with your name. Fanvue's creator sign-up guide, dated May 2026, says you can be completely anonymous on Fanvue: pick a stage name, plus an email that isn't tied to who you are offline. To earn, you still verify your real identity, and the guide says that information is GDPR-protected and won't be shared with anyone.

Lock the account itself, too. As of July 2025, Fanvue's account settings let you add two-factor authentication (2FA) and sign out of every device and session at once.

Then layer the settings. Discoverability decides whether fans can come across you while browsing. A geo-block decides which countries can open your page at all. Blocking decides whether one particular person can reach you, and your follow and message settings decide how much a non-paying fan can do.

💜01. How do you geo-block a country on Fanvue?

Geo-blocking hides your profile from visitors in the countries you pick. As of May 2025, Fanvue's help centre pointed to Settings → Privacy and safety → Block by country. There you select the countries, or specific users, you want to block, then save.

What does a blocked visitor see? Fanvue's May 2025 article said anyone who visits your profile from a geo-blocked country gets a "This page does not exist" notice instead. It worked whether that visitor had a Fanvue account or not.

There's one big limit. As of May 2025, only whole countries could be blocked, not a town or state, though Fanvue said it was working on that. Blocking your own country would hide your page from everyone there, new fans included, so weigh that trade before you switch it on.

💜02. Can you hide your Fanvue page from search?

Yes, turning off Fanvue's discoverability setting hides your page from Discover and search. Fanvue's 2026 discoverability article points to Settings → Creator Settings → Profile (one 2026 guide calls the tab Profile & Intro Video).

Turning discoverability off isn't a lock, though. Fanvue says your profile can still be reached through a direct link, so anyone who already has your link can open it. If you want to stop visitors from a whole country, the geo-block does that part.

The cost is reach. Fanvue's search guide says creators only show up in search results with discoverability on, and its profile guide calls the Discoverability page the place where potential subscribers scroll to find new creators.

💜03. Can you remove a subscriber on Fanvue?

Yes, a Fanvue creator can remove a subscriber by blocking and reporting them, according to Fanvue's help centre as of October 2024. The option sits in the menu at the top right of their banner when you visit their profile. Fanvue said its creator safeguarding team reviews the fan account within 24 hours and takes any needed action.

You can block someone from a conversation too. As of August 2025, Fanvue's reporting article said to open the user's profile or chat, tap the menu of three dots and choose to block them, which prevents any further interaction. It added that blocking is encouraged when someone breaches its guidelines, even if they've paid you.

The Privacy and safety area in Settings covers blocking by username as well as by country, according to Fanvue's May 2025 settings overview. And if someone is harassing you, save screenshots before you report: Fanvue says evidence like that may help its support team investigate.

💜04. Who can follow and message you on Fanvue?

As of June 2025, Fanvue turned on free follows by default. Its help centre said followers could see content you make available to followers and read your post captions, but couldn't view anything only available to subscribers. You can switch the Follow for Free toggle off at any time.

Messages are a separate switch. Fanvue's June 2025 article on the Follow button said that if you keep Follow for Free on, you can decide whether your followers may message you, under Settings → Creator Settings → Profile. Subscribers can message creators too, but Fanvue's subscription guide says even that is subject to the creator's settings.

💜05. Listing on FreeVues without giving up control

FreeVues, a free directory of Fanvue creators that's independent of Fanvue, lists you only if you or your agency opt in. A FreeVues card is public, and anyone can browse it with no fan account needed. If you're hiding your page from people you know, weigh that before you list.

If an agency manages you, its sign-in can list you. You can still remove the listing yourself with one tap to confirm on Fanvue: the card comes down immediately, your data is deleted, and you can come back anytime. The agency's next sign-in skips creators who removed their own listing.

Listing is free with no time limit, and the sign-in happens on Fanvue's own approval screen. That means your Fanvue password stays out of FreeVues' reach. FreeVues never touches your messages, fans or payments, and never posts. 💜06. Fanvue privacy settings: your plan for people you know

Use a stage name and an email that doesn't point back to you. Geo-block countries if it fits, remembering that, as of May 2025, it was a whole country or nothing.

Turn discoverability off if you'd rather not be browsed, knowing a direct link still opens your page. Block anyone who crosses a line, and decide who may follow and message you.
