Fanvue vs Fansly for Creators: Fees, Payouts, AI
Fanvue vs Fansly, side by side from each platform's own pages: fees, payout times and minimums, price ranges, discovery tools and AI creator rules.
Fanvue vs Fansly comes out even on the headline fee: both pay creators 80% of what fans spend. Fansly bans photorealistic AI content, while Fanvue welcomes AI creators who disclose it. Fansly's For You Page is opt-in per post, while Fanvue shuffles Discover so every eligible creator gets a turn. Payout minimums and price ranges differ too.
Fanvue vs Fansly is a close race on money, because both pay creators the same standard 80% share. What separates them is the detail: how fast money reaches you, how low you can price a subscription, how fans find you, and what each allows for AI creators. Every number below comes from Fanvue's or Fansly's own pages, checked in September 2026.
We run a free directory of Fanvue creators, so we know Fanvue well. We've kept this comparison to what each platform says about itself. For the OnlyFans side of the question, read "Fanvue vs OnlyFans for Creators (2026): An Honest Comparison".
๐01. Which has lower fees, Fanvue or Fansly?
On the standard rate, neither. Fanvue's creator earnings policy sets the standard creator rate at 80% of gross revenue, with 20% kept by Fanvue as platform fees, unless agreed otherwise in writing. Fansly's getting-started guide says creators receive 80% of revenue from subscriptions, sold media, messages and tips.
The small print differs a little. Fanvue says it sometimes offers a temporary promotional earning rate, such as a higher share for newly joined creators. It also charges one payout fee: 1% when you withdraw through TripleA, its crypto provider, according to an April 2026 help article. Fansly says it has no hidden fees for payouts, processing or currency conversion.
๐02. How do Fanvue and Fansly payouts compare?
Both platforms hold new earnings for a week first. Fanvue's policy sets a standard 7-day pending period that can stretch to 28 days, for reasons such as account verification. Fansly says each sale unlocks exactly seven days after it was earned.
After you request a payout, the timelines differ. Fanvue says it aims to start valid payout requests within 10 business days, and its help centre says a request usually arrives within 3โ5 business days, depending on the method. Fansly says most requests are reviewed within 48 hours, and that delivery typically takes 1โ3 business days once processing starts.
Minimums differ too. Fanvue's help centre sets a $20 minimum that can vary by region, and asks for at least 5 pieces of content before your first withdrawal. Fansly's minimums depend on the method: $20 for Paxum, Cosmopayment and local bank deposits, $50 for SEPA, and $100 for international wires and crypto, as of late 2025.
๐03. What can you charge for a subscription?
Fanvue's help centre, as of June 2025, lets you set a monthly subscription from $3.99 to $100, and sell it in bundles. A Fansly help article last updated in 2025 sets its range at $5 to $499.99 a month, and suggests offering several tiers at different prices.
If you plan a low entry price, Fanvue's floor sits lower. If you want a premium tier above $100 a month, only Fansly's range allows it. Both let you run free trials.
๐04. Which platform helps fans discover you?
Fanvue mixes up the order of its Discover section on purpose, giving each eligible creator a turn, while new, quickly growing and strong-performing accounts sit higher. Fanvue says intro videos are always guaranteed a placement there. Placement in its Suggested Creators tabs is automatic, based on performance and growth, and a Discoverability toggle in your creator profile settings controls whether fans can find you in Discover and search.
Fansly's main discovery tool is its For You Page, and it works post by post. You tick "Post to FYP" when you create a post, and locked media needs a free preview to qualify. Fansly's Suggestions tab includes every creator automatically, matched through private profile tags you set, and fans can search a Discovery page by tags and hashtags.
Both platforms give you tracking links to see where fans come from. Fansly adds built-in links for its For You Page, Suggestions and search, and it counts a tracking-link claim only when the visitor logs in or signs up. Fanvue says you can create unlimited tracking links.
๐05. What are the AI creator rules on Fanvue and Fansly?
This is where the two platforms part ways. Fanvue welcomes AI creators. Its AI policy asks you to disclose clearly that media is AI-generated, in your bio, a caption or a watermark, and says AI media must not show a real person other than the account owner.
Fansly doesn't allow photorealistic AI-generated content, and says labelling it as AI doesn't make it allowed. You can apply as a non-photorealistic virtual persona, but you register with your real legal identity, and Fansly's terms also rule out AI that talks to fans without human oversight.
So if your page is a lifelike AI persona, Fanvue is the platform whose rules are written for you. If you're a real person, or your virtual character is clearly illustrated rather than lifelike, both platforms have room for you.
๐06. What about sign-up and help from a manager?
Fanvue says creating a creator account takes about 15 minutes, your ID and a device with a camera. Fansly runs a creator application: an ID check through an outside verification service, then photos and a short video holding your ID and a handwritten sign.
Both let someone help without your password. Fanvue has manager accounts, which as of June 2025 can't access payouts, change your email or password, or delete the account. Fansly has Management Sessions, single-use links where you choose the permissions, and it says payouts and account closure are always restricted.
๐07. Chose Fanvue? Get listed on FreeVues
FreeVues is a free directory of Fanvue creators, independent of Fanvue, so it's one more place for fans to find you if you pick Fanvue. You connect in one tap and approve it on Fanvue's own screen. The card fills itself in from what's public on your Fanvue page, and listing costs nothing, with no end date.
Add a Fanvue tracking link named "FreeVues" while you set up. Clicks and subscribers from FreeVues then show on your Fanvue dashboard, next to your other channels, so you can compare them fairly.

๐08. The fair verdict
On fees, Fanvue and Fansly are level at 80% to the creator. Choose Fansly if you want subscription tiers above $100, or if its post-by-post For You Page suits how you work. Choose Fanvue if you run a lifelike AI persona, want a lower entry price, or like a Discover section shuffled so every eligible creator gets a turn. Whichever you pick, check each platform's current pages before you decide. Fanvue's terms, for one, say they can change without notice.
