How to Get Verified on Fanvue (and Fix a Failed ID Check)

On Fanvue, "verified" can mean two things, and they come in order. The first is ID verification, also called KYC, which you need before you can earn. The second is the Verified badge on your profile, which you request once your account is up and running. There's also a separate age check for viewing age-restricted content, covered near the end.

💜01. First, pass ID verification (KYC)

Fanvue's help centre says creating a creator account takes 15 minutes, your ID and a device with a camera. You sign up, click "Become a creator", finalize your account details and follow the prompts until set-up is complete. Along the way you'll photograph your ID and take a selfie.

You can use a stage name and an email address with no link to your real identity. But Fanvue says that to earn money you'll need to verify your real identity, and you'll need the selfie even if you won't show your face on your page. It says this information stays confidential and isn't posted on your public profile.

Check your ID before you start. Fanvue's KYC article says you need a valid, in-date, government-issued international ID or passport, and its profile guide adds that it must be undamaged and not a digital copy.

💜02. Failed the ID check? Fix these first

Fanvue's help centre lists the most common reasons an ID check fails. Several come down to the photo: a blurry image, an ID zoomed too far in or out, or a dim room. An out-of-date ID, a poor-quality camera or a document the system doesn't support can also cause a fail.

Retake your photos in a well-lit spot, clear of reflections, with the whole ID visible. If you're on a desktop, Fanvue says webcams can be the problem, so switch to your phone using the QR code shown during KYC. If a document such as a driver's license is rejected, try a passport instead.

Two more fixes from Fanvue's article. If your device won't focus, put a white piece of paper behind your ID and take your selfie against a plain background. If your camera won't open at all, turn on camera permissions for your browser or device.

Seeing a "Document already used" error? Fanvue says this can happen when you already have an active creator account and try to verify a new one to replace it. The old account must be deleted first.

Still stuck? Fanvue asks you to contact its support team through the chat on its help centre. Its profile guide also notes that verification decisions are final and cannot be overridden, so take your time and get the photos right.

💜03. Then request the Verified badge

Fanvue calls the Verified badge a mark of trust and credibility for your profile. Before you apply, check the requirements. Your KYC must be fully completed and approved, your payouts must be enabled, and your account must show meaningful activity. Your profile must also follow Fanvue's Acceptable Use Policy, Terms and Conditions and Community Guidelines.

Step 1: Make a public post on X or Instagram announcing that you've joined Fanvue. Make sure the image follows that platform's own content and community guidelines.

Step 2: In the caption, include @fanvue and the hashtag #FanvueVerifiedBadge.

Step 3: Email the link to your post to the address in Fanvue's "How to Get Verified on Fanvue" help article, and ask for your Verified badge.

Step 4: Wait for the review. Fanvue says its audit team checks your request and, if everything checks out, applies the badge within a few days.

Fanvue says the badge is free and only awarded by Fanvue, so ignore any scams claiming to sell verification. Its link-in-bio guide adds that the badge brings credibility on top of whatever traffic strategy you're already running.

💜04. Age verification is a separate check

Age verification is different from both. Fanvue says you must be at least 18 to use the platform. Depending on where you live, you may be asked to verify your age before you can view or search for age-restricted content, but not when you first create your account.

Fanvue uses a third-party service called Ondato, which asks for a selfie for age estimation, and in some regions a photo of a government ID too. Fanvue keeps only a pass or fail result and a timestamp, not the selfie or ID images themselves. If the check fails, retry in good light with your face centered, or switch from a desktop to your phone.

One firm rule: no VPN. Fanvue warns that dodging the age check with a VPN or a location-spoofing tool could get your Fanvue account permanently terminated. And once you pass, Fanvue says the check and the content filter are separate: you still switch the filter using the eye icon on the side navigation panel.

💜06. One honest tip

Take the ID check slowly and set it up right the first time. Good light, the whole ID in frame and your phone's camera cover several of the failure reasons Fanvue lists. Then build real activity on your page before you ask for the badge, because Fanvue says empty or minimal-activity accounts should not receive it.
