๐01. Why there's no Fanvue app in the stores
Fanvue's help centre says the strict terms and conditions of the App Store and Google Play Store mean it cannot create a mobile app. Its bright side: Fanvue stays up to date on the latest version for you. The site itself is designed and optimised for both mobile and desktop.
Don't mix it up with the Fanvue App Store. Fanvue's About page describes that as an in-dashboard marketplace of creator tools, covering things like content creation, scheduling and analytics. It lives inside Fanvue's dashboard, not in your phone's app store.
๐02. Add Fanvue to your iPhone or iPad
Step 1: Open Safari and go to fanvue.com.
Step 2: Tap the Share icon, the square with an arrow pointing up, in the toolbar.
Step 3: Scroll down and select "Add to Home Screen".
Step 4: Tap "Add" in the top right corner.
Use Safari for this one. Fanvue's guide says that if you don't see "Add to Home Screen", you should make sure you're in Safari on iOS, not Chrome.
๐03. Add Fanvue to your Android phone
Step 1: Open Google Chrome and go to fanvue.com.
Step 2: Tap the three-dot menu icon in the top right.
Step 3: Select "Add to Home screen", or "Install app" if that's what you see.
Step 4: Confirm by tapping "Add" or "Install".
Using another browser? Fanvue's guide covers those too. In Samsung Internet, tap the menu (three lines, bottom right), then "Add page to", then "Home screen". In Firefox, tap the three-dot menu, then "Install" or "Add to Home screen". In Edge, tap the three-dot menu, then "Add to phone", then "Add to Home screen".
Don't see the option at all? Fanvue's guide notes some browsers don't support this, and points Android users to Chrome or a Chromium-based browser.
On a computer, Chrome and Edge can install it too. Click the install icon in the address bar, a small monitor with a down arrow, or open the three-dot menu and select "Install Fanvue...". Then click "Install".
๐04. Why bother installing it?
Fanvue lists three perks. You get one-tap access without typing the address each time. You can get notifications when new posts and updates are made. And you always have the latest version of Fanvue, with no manual updates. Fanvue's Chrome guide also recommends it for quicker, more reliable access on mobile.
Notifications need your phone's permission. If they aren't arriving, Fanvue says to check that notifications are enabled for the Fanvue app or website in your device's system settings, not just within Fanvue.

Icon or shortcut stopped working after a phone update? Fanvue says to remove it from your home screen and add it again.
Trouble in Chrome? Fanvue's Chrome guide suggests updating Chrome, refreshing the page, and clearing your cookies and cached files. To update, open Chrome's three-dot menu, then Help, then "About Google Chrome", and restart the browser if prompted. Trouble in another browser? The guide suggests trying Chrome first to see whether the problem is browser-specific.
On a computer, ad blockers, privacy extensions and some VPN extensions can interfere with page loading or media playback, Fanvue says. Try turning extensions off one at a time, or test in an Incognito window, which disables most extensions by default. Still stuck? Start from fanvue.com itself when you add the shortcut. Fanvue's install steps start there.
Once Fanvue sits pretty on your home screen, finding creators is the fun part. When someone catches your eye, you subscribe and pay over on their Fanvue page.
