Nikole Zhang on Fanvue: Not What You Assumed
Everyone assumes Nikole Zhang is Thai. The truth is more interesting, and so is everything else she told us about herself.
Nikole Zhang is a Thai-Italian creator on Fanvue who is far more than the first guess people make about her. She's a certified kitchen pro, a MIDI music tinkerer and a homeopathy student, and she says she responds to everyone as much as her time allows.
Okay so, I gave Nikole a questionnaire built around one sneaky idea: what do people get wrong about you? π Her answers are basically a list of reasons not to judge a page by its thumbnail. Pull up a chair, because the good bits are not where you'd look first.
π01. First assumption: she's Thai (sort of)
Here's the one she led with. She wrote that it's "hard to tell just by lookingβespecially over the internet," and that many people assume she's Thai. The correction, in her words: "I am of Thai descent." π
And then the plot thickens. On what makes her different, she wrote that yes, she has those features because her mother is Thai, but she also has Italian heritage from her father, "so the two types of beauty combined to create me." Her words, not mine π (I would have charged for a line that good). She speaks English, Portuguese and Italian, so the Italian isn't just on paper either.
π02. The side of her that has nothing to do with the camera
I asked what she spends time on that has nothing to do with her page, and honestly? I felt a little lazy reading it. As a fellow creator, my "other hobby" is mostly scrolling. π Hers is a whole rΓ©sumΓ©:
- Cooking, backed by technical certifications in Food Safety, Health and Safety, Back-of-House (BOH) and Front-of-House (FOH) management. She says a significant part of that training took place inside a kitchen. π©βπ³
- Producing "music" on her MIDI controller. Yes, she put the quotes around it herself. πΉ
- Studying homeopathy, which she's doing right now.
- Writing, reading, chocolate, and, in her words, standing in front of the mirror trying on panties and bikinis. π
Read that last bullet twice. I'm not saying anything. I'm just saying that's a very specific kind of research.
π03. The small surprise: she's genuinely nice about it
Here's what she says would surprise a follower: she loves being polite. She treats everyone with kindness, doesn't put herself on a pedestal, and, "as much as my time allows," she responds to everyone. π¬ Notice she doesn't promise the moon. She promises effort. Honestly, that's more attractive.
It also fits her idea of a perfect fan: someone well-bred with good manners. So bring yours. π© What fans can't get enough of, according to her, is her smile, her kisses and her good wishes. π
π04. Weirdly good, genuinely terrible
Weirdly good at: and she did warn me you might find this odd. Through the process of removing her body hair, she says she's become an expert on her own body, and she's "always perfectly smooth." I'll let that one sit there and do its own work. π
Genuinely bad at: cakes. She calls herself "terribleβa total disaster, even when I follow the instructions." π This is a girl with kitchen certifications who also loves chocolate, and the cake still won't cooperate. I find that weirdly comforting, because my own cooking is a crime scene.
π05. What's really on the camera roll
The last surprise is the content. She wrote that it's unique, that she hasn't seen anyone else on Fanvue, or anywhere else, doing the same thing. She leans into her "anime side" and explores it quite a bit. πΈ She's also sold photo albums on Fanvue as PDFs, which she says are easy to create. Photos, videos and audio are all on her menu.
Her pitch for who'll love the page is just two words: "Sexy and provocative." Her favorite themes? "Sometimes spicy, romantic." And her vibe in three words is, well, one: "Rumble." π₯ Add the word her subscribers use for her, "chocolate," and you can probably guess the mood.
Her quote to leave you with: "Always give your best to receive what is good." β¨ Following her is free, there's a free trial, and the subscription is listed at $10/month, so you can see how wrong your first guess was without spending a thing. π
