What Is PPV on Fanvue? Pay-Per-View Explained
What is PPV on Fanvue? Pay-per-view explained for fans: where it shows up, how it differs from a subscription, and what you keep after you buy.
PPV on Fanvue means pay-per-view: a post or message with its own one-off price that you pay to unlock. It isn't included in a subscription. You keep PPV you've bought after your subscription ends, unless the creator deletes it, and like other Fanvue payments, PPV is generally non-refundable.
PPV on Fanvue stands for pay-per-view, and it's the little price tag you'll sometimes spot on a post or in your inbox. Here's the tea: it's a separate, one-off purchase, not part of your subscription, so it pays to know how it works before you tap to unlock.
๐01. What does PPV mean on Fanvue?
Pay-per-view on Fanvue is media with its own price. Fanvue's PPV guide says it can be posted to a creator's feed or sent straight to you in a message, and either way it's a one-off purchase, separate from the subscription.
Each creator sets their own PPV prices. Fanvue's June 2025 pricing article allowed a single post to cost between $3 and $500.
You may also see the same thing called pay-to-view, or PTV, in Fanvue's help centre. Different name, same idea.
๐02. Is PPV included in a Fanvue subscription?
No. Fanvue's subscriptions article is clear that PPV is separate: buying it is a one-off payment that the subscription fee doesn't include.
What your subscription does cover is a creator's subscriber-only posts and media, any subscriber-exclusive content they publish during your billing period, and direct messages, subject to that creator's settings. PPV is an optional extra beyond all that.
Followers can buy some PPV too. As of June 2025, Fanvue said followers could buy paid content sent to them in messages, and could buy priced wall posts only when the creator shared them with "Followers and Subscribers".
๐03. Where will I see PPV on Fanvue?
On a creator's feed, PPV shows up as a locked post. As of April 2025, Fanvue let creators show locked posts blurred as a teaser or fully blacked out. Our guide to blurred Fanvue posts explains that look in detail.
In your inbox, PPV arrives as a paid message. Fanvue's PPV guide describes two kinds: a message sent one-to-one to a single fan, and a broadcast sent to many fans at once. Its mass-messaging guide suggests creators message subscribers about a new PPV drop, so a message may be how you first hear about one.
๐04. What happens after I buy PPV on Fanvue?
Once you've bought PPV, it's yours to view even after your subscription ends, until the creator deletes it. That's the big difference from subscriber-only posts, which lock again once your billing period is over. PPV that came by message lives in your chat, and Fanvue says your message history with a creator stays visible in your inbox after a subscription ends.
A PPV purchase buys access, not ownership. Fanvue says that if a creator deletes a PPV post you bought, you can no longer see it, and if a creator's account is terminated, access to purchased PPV goes with it.
Your PPV buys are discreet. Fanvue says other fans can't see what pay-per-view content you've purchased, and creators can't see what you've bought from other creators. On a bank statement, every Fanvue payment shows simply as fanvue.com.
๐05. Can I get a refund on Fanvue PPV?
Generally, no. Fanvue's refund article lists pay-per-view content you've accessed among the payments that aren't refundable. You can ask Fanvue to review a case within 30 days if you were charged more than once, a technical error blocked what you paid for, or the content was different from how it was described. Our Fanvue refund guide walks through how to ask.
That last point is why captions matter. Fanvue's PPV guide tells creators to describe only what's actually included, so read the caption and look at the preview before you unlock.
Before you tap, check the total. Fanvue's payment screen spells out what you'll pay, with any VAT or local tax, before you confirm. If you keep a monthly budget, count PPV separately from your subscriptions, not inside them.
Still choosing who to subscribe to? Each creator's FreeVues profile lists their Photos and Videos counts from Fanvue and, when FreeVues knows it, the price to join. Browsing is free, with no fan account needed.

PPV is Fanvue's pay-once extra: a priced post or message you unlock alongside any subscription. You keep what you buy unless the creator deletes it, it's generally non-refundable, and a good caption tells you what's inside. Unlock only what you really want.
