Why Are Fanvue Posts Blurred? Here's the Tea
Why Fanvue posts are blurred or blacked out, what a subscription or one-off purchase unlocks, what followers can see, and why posts disappear.
Fanvue posts are blurred because they're locked: either for subscribers only or priced as pay-per-view. As of April 2025, creators chose a blurred teaser or a black-out, and followers and subscribers could still read captions. To see one, subscribe for subscriber-only posts, or buy the post if it has a price. Following for free won't unlock subscriber-only posts.
Fanvue posts are blurred because they're locked. A blurred post is either for subscribers only or has a price on it, and the blur is the creator's teaser.
๐01. Why are some Fanvue posts blurred?
Each creator decides how their locked content looks. Fanvue's April 2025 article on blurred previews said creators could show paywalled posts blurred, as a teaser to encourage a purchase, or fully blacked out so nothing shows. Either way, subscribers and followers could still read the captions.
Here's the tea: a black box isn't a glitch. As of May 2025, Fanvue's settings guide said that if a creator chooses not to blur paid content, no images show on their profile. The blur is on purpose, too: Fanvue's 2026 pay-per-view guide treats a blurred preview as the teaser that gives fans a reason to unlock.
๐02. How do I unlock a blurred post on Fanvue?
Unlocking a blurred Fanvue post depends on its lock: subscribe for subscriber-only posts, or buy a post that has a price. Fanvue's 2026 subscription guide says subscribing unlocks every subscriber-only post and piece of media on that creator's profile, along with anything subscriber-exclusive they add while your billing period runs. The payment screen spells out the full amount, VAT or local taxes included, before you confirm.
A post with a price tag is pay-per-view, a separate one-off purchase that your subscription fee doesn't include. As of June 2025, Fanvue's pricing article said creators could price a post anywhere from $3 to $500.
Who a post is shared with matters too. The same June 2025 article said creators chose whether each post was for "Subscribers only" or for "Followers and Subscribers".
๐03. Can followers see locked posts?
A free follow gets you a peek, not the full feed. As of June 2025, Fanvue's Follow for Free article said a follower gets the posts set for followers and can read every post's caption, but subscriber-only content stays out of reach.
Followers can still spend if they choose. The same article said followers could pay for locked media sent to them in messages, and for priced wall posts that were shared with "Followers and Subscribers". A post set to subscribers only needs a subscription first.
๐04. Why did a locked post disappear?
A locked Fanvue post can vanish because the creator set it to expire or deleted it. As of June 2025, Fanvue let creators set a post to remove itself after a chosen time, up to 30 days ahead, and said the feature creates urgency to subscribe or unlock before the post disappears.
Creators can also delete individual posts at any time. If a creator deletes something you paid for, you can no longer access it, because Fanvue says a purchase gives you the right to view content, not ownership of it.
Cancelled your subscription? If you bought a pay-per-view post, you keep access after your subscription ends, as long as the creator doesn't delete it. Subscriber-only posts lock again once your subscription is over, though your access stays open through the rest of the 30-day billing period you're in.
